Michael Burton

Michael Burton is the vice president of the Orthotic and Prosthetic Group of America. He has extensive experience in management, sales and marketing. He is a member of the Assembly Committee for the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association and serves as its exhibits chairman. Burton is also a member of the Industry Advisory Council for O&P Business News and a member of the Amputee Coalition of America Brand Work Group. He is a past president of the Orthotic and Prosthetic Assistance Fund (OPAF) and served on the board of directors for OPAF for 6 years. He focuses his blog on the business of O&P with topics ranging from marketing, finance and insurance to health care reform and the latest business changed to impact O&P.

Jeffrey M. Brandt

Jeffrey M. Brandt, CPO is the chief executive officer and founder of Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics Inc. Headquartered in Gettysburg, Pa., the company outsources all of its fabrication and uses electronic medical records, and has grown to five full-time offices in 5 years with patient care centers in both Pennsylvania and Maryland. Brandt is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and Northwestern University’s O&P programs, is a Gunther Gehl Prosthetics Scholarship recipient and has spoken and written on numerous O&P topics throughout his career. Brandt is committed to giving back to the O&P industry by creating awareness and educational opportunities for patients, payers and referral sources. He focuses his blog on juggling O&P practice management and clinical competency.
